Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the AI Content Detector.
How does the AI content detector work?
It looks for patterns that are much more common in AI written text than in human writing. These include very even sentence lengths, frequent stock phrases such as "delve into" or "in today's fast-paced world", many sentences opening with transitions like "Moreover", and very few contractions or personal details. The signals are combined into an overall probability.
How accurate is the result?
No AI detector is 100 percent accurate, including paid ones. Results are most reliable on texts of 150 words or more. Formal human writing can sometimes score as AI, and AI text that has been heavily edited can pass as human. Treat the score as one piece of evidence, never as proof.
Can it detect ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude?
The detector looks at writing style rather than a specific model, so it can flag typical patterns from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and other assistants. Text that was prompted to write casually or was rewritten by a person is harder for any detector to identify.
Should I use this to accuse someone of cheating?
No. Because detection is never certain, a high score should start a conversation, not end one. Ask about the writing process, look at drafts and notes, and consider the person's usual style before drawing conclusions.
How can I make my writing sound less like AI?
Vary your sentence lengths, use contractions, add personal examples and specific details, and replace generic phrases with plain words. Our AI Humanizer can make a first pass for you, and the sentence highlights here show exactly where to focus.
