Best quality uses a larger model (about 45 MB, downloaded once) that gives sharper edges and handles hair, fur and fine details better. Fast uses a small 5 MB model that needs much less memory, so it is the better choice on phones and older computers. You can switch at any time and compare.

The first time you use a mode, your browser downloads the AI model. After that it is saved in your browser, so later photos start almost instantly. Processing itself usually takes a few seconds on a computer and a little longer on a phone.

Photos with a clear main subject work best: a person, a product, a pet, a car or a logo. Strong contrast between the subject and the background gives the cleanest edges. Very busy scenes, glass and see through objects are harder and may need a quick touch up.

Choose PNG when you need a transparent background, for example to place the cut out on another design. Choose JPG when you have added a white, coloured or blurred background, since JPG files are smaller and accepted everywhere.
