Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Text to Speech.

Why do I see different voices on different devices?

This tool uses the speech engine built into your browser and operating system. Windows, macOS, Android and iOS each come with their own set of voices, and some browsers add more online voices. Try Chrome or Edge for the widest choice.

Can I download the audio as an MP3?

Browsers do not allow websites to record their built-in voices directly. To save audio, you can use your device's screen or audio recorder while the text is being spoken.

Does it support Hindi and other Indian languages?

Many Android phones, Windows computers and Chrome browsers include Hindi and Indian English voices, and some include Tamil, Bengali and other languages. If a language is not in the voice list, it is not installed on your device.

Why does reading stop on long texts?

Some browsers stop speaking after a few minutes of continuous text. If that happens, click Speak again or split very long texts into smaller parts.
